Picture Perfect

Here are some great ideas for creating your perfect picture wall.

When creating a composition of bright, colourful photos, try framing them using a combination of black & white matting.

Frame your favorite artwork but switch up the colour and style of the frames to suit each piece.

Create a dramatic look by covering an entire wall with framed photos, cards, illustrations and album art.

A grouping of black & white photos with mis-matched black frames can easily be added to when arranged in a random manner radiating out from a central point on the wall.

This clean and simple grouping is achieved by paring down the collection and combining frameless pieces with slim, contemporary frames.

I love this idea of aligning the majority of the photos along the bottom and introducing only a few random photos above.

If you don't want to commit to nailing your photos directly to the wall, a picture rail can be a great solution. This gives you the freedom to change things up or add and subtract from your collection over time.

In my opinion, this is the most interesting photo wall because it introduces random objects into the mix like the liquor sign and the antlers.

I really love photo walls, and these are great examples! I've been wanting to create one in my bedroom, so I appreciate the inspiration.
