Style at Home's Fall 2011 Trends Report
Thursday, September 22, 2011 It's that time again... Autumn is here and with it comes warm colours, cozy textures and lots of natural elements. Style at Home Magazine has released it's Fall 2011 Trends Report and I'm happy to share the Fall decorating forecast with you.

1. Wood
I've been having a love affair with natural wood as of late. It makes for stunning lamps, furniture, decor & more. Incorporating elements with a wood grain motif is a another great way to embrace this trend. Fabrics and rugs, like the one pictured above, not only add graphic pattern, but add natural, organic lines to your space.
2. The New Neutrals
Say goodbye to builders beige! Opt instead for shades of taupe, sage & lilac. They have more depth & add a richness to your room that is perfect for Fall.
3. Modern Global
This is my favourite look of all! You can achieve a similar look by displaying treasures from your travels, introducing some exotic fabrics and incorporating vintage furnishings. It's bold, eclectic & "lived in"... What's not to love?

I love the modern global design. It has that warm feeling to it and it's like you're somewhere in the 1800s with a modern twist to it, which I think was brought by the color of the furniture.
Hi Lia! I totally hear you on the wood accessory love affair! Great post, I'm so happy you were inspired by the fall trends. Thanks so much for writing about them!
I found an amazing shop in San Luis Obispo that has everything bamboo, the best selection of bamboo clothing anywhere. So cool! Really nice website too - www.bambubatu.com
