Custom Work... Daiva's Lively Lamps
Tuesday, November 27, 2012
A few months back, I shared Daiva's ikat lamp shades with you. This lady, like me, is fearless when it comes to embracing pattern! Recently, I worked on these lamps for her bedroom.
Way back when, her mom actually dabbled in pottery and created these fab, green glazed lamps. Daiva wanted to use them as the jumping off point for her bedroom. But, she didn't want to go for a boring solid fabric. Instead, she wanted to fill the room with energy & cheerfulness.
This fabric, from Domesticate on Spoonflower, became the perfect choice for her space. Domesticate is one of my fave Spoonflower designers, as you can probably tell from my latest collection of lamps.
Helpful tip... If you see a fabric you like in Domesticate's Spoonflower profile, but aren't fond of the colour, shoot her message and have it uploaded in the colour of your choice for an extra $25. That's what we did!
To me, these lamps look like the kind of pieces you'd find in one of Jonathan Adler or Jaime Hayon's spaces. What do you think?
