Downtime - Volume 2

Centro Garden will soon open it's doors here in Downtown Burlington. Their concept is based around creating a richer lifestyle experience by living outside, inside. Check out their website to learn more!

I find the work of lifestyle photographer, Robin Cerutti, captivating, not only because of what he chooses to include, but what he chooses to exclude from his photographs. I discovered his portfolio via Dripbook.

Who knew that ropes could be so beautiful? While hanging out on Pinterest this week, I discovered The Ropes. Inspired by her surroundings to explore new materials, The Ropes founder, Shana Aldrich, used her background in apparel design to create truly unique jewelry crafted from marine ropes & hardware.

While catching up on my Google Reader this week, I discovered this two-tone pedi idea from Kelly Wearstler's blog, My Vibe My Life via The Lonny Blog. I'm dying to try it out before sandal weather is gone.

Prepare to be intrigued... Hope & Glory: A Conceptual Circus, conceived by Simon Birch, was a collaborative installation that I discovered on Behance. "Each [artist] contributed their own particular vision to Hope and Glory’s conceptual world of spectacle and wonder."

I've Started A Tumblr!

I wanted to create a space that was completely devoted to sharing works from the many talented artists that I stumble upon daily. After all, what is a room without great art?

Mod Musings, features art in all it's lovely forms... Illustration, drawing, painting, graphic design, sculpture, street art, photography, you name it!

I'll be updating it multiple times per day, so be sure to follow along with my photo posts & art quotes for your daily dose of creative inspiration and the latest, greatest finds from the art world.

Head on over to check out what I've posted so far and help me spread the word. I'd love to see these artists gain more recognition and sharing the link with your peeps on Twitter & Facebook would be a great place to start!

And, of course, if you've got a recommendation for me, be sure to get in touch. They may end up being the next post on Mod Musings!

Roundup - Fine Art Photography

I find fine art photography to be under utilized in Interior Design. These talented photographers prove how dynamic, powerful and mesmerizing a photograph can be. Each of these collections could set the tone for five very different, but, equally impactful rooms. Enjoy!

Love, love, love these photos from Elle Moss Photography! I can't take my eye of these eerily beautiful shots!

Magical. Majestic. Marvellous. These wonderfully creative shots from Chelsea Victoria Photography stole my heart.

How awesome is this set from Simply Hue Designs? Each photo has a super cute name. Here they are from the top: Baking Day, A Girl and Her Guitar, Magic Moment, First Date.

Botany never looked so good! These amazing images from Scarlet Beautiful 2 have been shot through the viewfinder (ttv). This adds a striking edginess to an otherwise ordinary subject.

Ok, I know I featured Elle Moss Photography already....but how could I leave these out?! They are spectacular!

Photographer Vanessa Davies

Today I'm feeling inspired by UK Photographer, Vanessa Davies. These first two shots are my faves...so bright, fresh, crisp and lovely! I'm on the hunt, trying to track down this amazing wallpaper.

You may see these sorts of saturated greens, pinks, yellows & blues popping up in my work over at Mod Pieces. I'm planning some very vibrant pieces to fill the shop this Summer.

Photographer Emma Mitchell

Love, love, love these brilliant shots by UK photographer Emma Mitchell! It's so funny that I found her work the same week that I discovered the fabulous, floral ramekins that are pictured in the last photo. They were featured in this months Martha Stuart Living and you can check out the whole line of beautiful botanical bowls right here!
